- First Annual Friends of Blue Spring State Park Photo Contest. Photo submissions will be accepted on October 6th and 7th, 2018 at Blue Spring State Park. A $5 submission fee is required for each entry. Photos will be exhibited in the Thursby House on October 13th & 14th and 20th & 21st for the public to vote on. Some great prizes are waiting! THE JUNIOR RANGER/VOLUSIA COUNTY
ECHO PROGRAM IS BACK!
Grade school kids between 1st - 5th grade are invited to join the ECHO/Jr. Ranger Program where they will get a glimpse of what it's like to be Florida State Park Ranger! The program takes place every second Saturday of the month (September - May) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Space is limited to the first 20 registrants. THE PARK NEEDS VOLUNTEERS!
Blue Spring State Park provides visitors with numerous opportunities for recreation, and for experiencing natural & cultural resources. Volunteers are an integral part to our parks success. There are a wide variety of areas where we could use the help of volunteers ranging from assisting at our Ranger Station, performing interpretive tours, various maintenance projects or lending a hand at special events. Whatever skills that you have to offer can be used to help support the park.
